Japan has the second largest music market in the world. Unfortunately, few projects and artists gained evidence in Brazil. That's why for the second volume of Headnod Mixtape, Endorphins Lab decided to focus on Japanese music samples, because it is rich, unique, peculiar and with timbres and instruments characteristic of the local culture. This identity is present in the most different musical styles, from pop to jazz fusion, progressive rock to funk.

Japanese music is a playground for beatmakers, because brings a freshness for artists, to create from these samples. It also has a some connection with samurai stories and anime comics. Wu-Tang Clan, for example, used a lot of Japanese music references. This also has a certain relationship with the hip-hop history and with this compilation we also want to provide the soundtrack for the Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo.

Each artist, managed to print their own style in the beats, using different Japanese musicality elements. Despite of their uniqueness, the tracks complement each other. The combination of all of them, create the cadence needed to keep the neck swinging during 60 minutes of music.

Headnod Mixtape is the biggest beats compilation in Brazil and arrives in all digital platforms. For Bandcamp, Soundcloud and for the cassette tape version, we have included 2 bonus tracks from Bala de Banana S.A. and AEONER.
